Operation Promise Community Services mission is to serve individuals and families in our community with food and essentials with dignity and compassion. With our enhanced organizational structure, Operation Promise Community Services can provide a larger number of services that play a large role in empowering homeless and low-income families the ability to reach full potential and resources to escape poverty.
With your help we serve approximately 9000 people a month. Our motto is “Working Together, Making A Difference.” With the help of our community, a child will not g o to bed hungry. Our seniors can rest knowing they have the essentials needed to survive. Families will be given hope for a better tomorrow.
The first time I went to Operation Promise Community Services, I was homeless and pregnant with my fourth child. I had left an abusive relationship, scared, and didn’t know what to do. I went OPCS for food. When I mentioned we needed food for homeless, they took special care of me. They not only provided me with food and diapers but helped me get into transitional housing and find a job. Today, I have a job and my own apartment. Words cannot explain how thankful I am for the support and love they showed me and my children.
Times are different and hard now a days, Operation Promise has helped me and my family through some very hard times, have blessed my home with an amazing Christmas. The times I go I leave confident knowing I got the necessities I need. But not just with materials they will also extend a loving hand and prayer if needed. They are firm and really go by their motto and beyond “Working together, making a difference” This place is a place that helps our community wants to make sure a child does not go to bed hungry. This is also my go to place to drop off donations. Thank you for all you do for our community!
Operation Promise has been such a blessing for me and my family. With the cost of living being so high, I can barely feed my family. When I come home with our food from the pantry, my kids get excited and run to see what I got. They love the special treats we get. I cannot afford to go buy their treats so that pack of cookies mixed with our nutritional food brings so much joy to my children. During school breaks, each of children gets a special bag with enough food for them to have breakfast and lunch for the week. Last Christmas all four of my children received 2 Christmas gifts (a piece of clothing & a toy). They had so much fun at the Operation Promise Christmas party and visiting Santa. While they were having fun, I received the gifts already rapped. Unlike others, Operation Promise gives the parents the gifts, so the gifts come from us, not them. Last Christmas my son asked me where I got the money to buy such nice gifts. I smiled and told him I prayed, and God sent me some angels to help me. Thank you Operation Promise for your love and support. You really do care about serving your community.
